The Twitter Revolution

News giant CNN and actor Ashton Kutcher made headlines last week, not to discuss the economic crises or war in Iraq, but to compete for more Twitter followers.
What exactly is this new Internet phenomenon? According to Twitter.com, “Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: ‘What are you doing?’”
The buzz regarding the social networking site has been everywhere recently – through the media, celebrities and news reports.

Professional slam poet Andrea Gibson dared to bare her soul for Quinnipiac students in Alumni Hall at 7 p.m. on April 9. Brought to campus by QU GLASS and the QU Democrats, the friendly and personable Gibson arrived to an intimate group of students.
Gibson began by reciting a piece written by her friend Maria Delnaya.

Internships, stepping stones to the real world

Students looking for their first internship usually have the same questions: when should they start, who and where can they go to ask for help, and how are other students doing in the process?
Jennifer Burns, assistant dean of career services for the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University, explained what information students need to know before applying for internships.

Only a MetroNorth train ride away Quinnipiac students, New York City is the fashion focal point for budding designers, models and dedicated shoppers.
