Strong, selfless and smiling

While most seniors are scrambling to finish internships, senior theses and land the perfect job, Jana Piccola, a Quinnipiac senior public relations major is fighting her second battle with cancer. However she has not let this battle keep her down. Her and her boyfriend Sean Pawelec, a QU Alumni have raised over $30,000 for cancer.

For these students aspiring to have jobs in the film-industry, it was the trip of a lifetime.

I woke up Monday morning groggy from lack of sleep, and confused as to the time (I think daylight savings time is unnecessary). Then, in a moment of clarity I remembered that this was the day I had been anticipating for over two months.

‘Blonde’ a ‘fun, fresh musical’

On Oct. 14, “Legally Blonde the Musical” aired exclusively on MTV. The play was not too far of a contrast from the original movie that was released in 2001.
The movie, directed by Robert Luketic, starred Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods. MTV showed the entire bubbly, dramatic and tickle-me-pink musical which took three taping sessions and starred Laura Bell Bundy as Elle, the blonde, ambitious and love-sick Malibu native who is giving law school a shot.

‘Tis the Season…Already?

Students who arrivied home from Quinnipiac for Thanksgiving most likely took a walk through their local shopping mall to see department stores decorated for the upcoming Christmas holiday.
In some malls, good ole’ Santa Claus was already taking advantage of his photo opportunities with starry-eyed children before the Thanksgiving holiday even arrived.
