Black, not bleak, Friday this year

Despite the slump in the economy, Black Friday sale prices were on the rise this 2009 season. According to WebProNews.com, the average sale total in 2008 was $130.24. This year, the sale price was $180.03, a 38.2 percent increase.
Another major increase this year was the amount of shopping done online.

An ultimate success for Alpha Chi

It takes talent to turn a casual, fun sport into a meaningful event, but the sorority sisters of Alpha Chi Omega did just that.
One of Quinnipiac University’s sororities, Alpha Chi Omega, held its 12th annual Frisbee Fest Sunday Oct. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event helped raise money and awareness about domestic violence.

Real World: Quinnipiac

The famous opening credits of MTV’s “The Real World” have been essentially burned into the minds of generations of young adults. The phrase, “This is the true story of seven strangers picked to live in a house, work together and have their lives taped; to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real,” is arguably one of the most recognizable show openings, and one that is quite on target with real life.

As night falls upon Quinnipiac University, some students begin to come down with cabin fever. Aside from the occasional parties on campus and the night life of New Haven, it can get a little dull around the dorms on Friday and Saturday nights. One way of resolving this issue is to enter the club every student at Quinnipiac should know about- QU After Dark.
