3 p.m. Men’s Tennis, Quinnipiac University Invitational

7 p.m. Women’s Ice Hockey, Quinnipiac vs. Colgate @ the Northford Ice Pavilion

7 p.m. Fidelio Concert

10 p.m Midnight Madness, Women’s and Men’s basketball kick off their season. Performances by Dance Mode and Dancy Company. Located in the Gymnasium.

Saturday, Oct. 18

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Parent & Family Weekend Registration & Raffle Ticket Drop-Off in the Alumni Hall Foyer

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Perks for Parents – Hosted by the Quinnipiac University Parents’ Association – Stop by our hospitality tent, perk up with a cup of coffee and learn what university activities the Parents’ Association is involved in and how you can help.

9 a.m. Men’s Tennis, Quinnipiac University Invitational

9:30 a.m. “Reality: Quinnipiac” – This program is a continuation of previous discussions with parents about the “real” issues facing both students and parents. Facilitated by Student Affairs professionals, participants will openly discuss both the realities of “college life” and possible strategies and solutions for dealing with these potentially difficult issues.

9:30 a.m. Students Exploring Majors: How A Parent or Friend Can Help – The Office of Career Services will facilitate a panel of deans and students representing the schools of Business, Communications, Health Sciences and the College of Liberal Arts to discuss possibilities for students who have not yet declared a major.

10 a.m. Baseball, Men’s and Women’s lacrosse “Blue and White” scrimmages.

10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Information Expo – Visit with and ask questions of University administrators. All University offices will be represented at informational booths lining the University quadrangle.

11:30 a.m. Welcome from President John L. Lahey, Library proscenium

12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Food Fair, University Quadrangle – Hosted by Quinnipiac’s Student Organizations. Sample a variety of foods prepared by our students at this pay-as-you-eat feast.

12 p.m. – Women’s Soccer, Quinnipiac vs. Howard

12 p.m. – 3 p.m. University Theatre Program Workshop, Clarice L. Buckman Theatre. Students will present a rehearsal workshop of their fall production, “Lydie Breeze,” by John Guare. The workshop will provide parents with an opportunity to observe a working rehearsal, including blocking and scene work, in addition to a short talk about the play and the rehearsal process. 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. The Adventure Begins – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly – Sponsored by The UPS Store – Nationally renowned speaker, Mike Weber, will explore with parents and students the five key changes in families that accompany the college experience. Event takes place in the Grand Courtroom School of Law Center.

3- 4:30 p.m. President’s Reception Hosted by Dr. & Mrs. John L. Lahey – Dean Evans College of Liberal Arts Center Courtyard. The Parents’ Association Raffle drawing will be held at this event.

5 p.m. Catholic Mass, Alumni Hall – The Rev. Louis Evangelisto, university chaplain and director of Campus Ministry. A schedule of off-campus religious services is available online or can be picked up at the registration table.

5 p.m. Women’s Ice Hockey, Quinnipiac vs. Colgate @ the Northford Ice Pavilion

8 p.m. Performing Arts Showcase, Featuring the Quinnipiac University Dance Company in Alumni Hall

8 p.m. A Night at the Movies, Feature Presentation: Legally Blonde 2 (Rated PG) Location: Buckman Theater
